Want the honest truth?  equipid started from pure vanity!  The work of a stereotypical “Little League” dad.  Plain and simple, a dad wanting his kid to be the best – on the field and off.  Knowing that impacting skills on the field wasn’t necessarily a possibility, the only option was to make sure they looked cool off.  Viola – a helmet decal is born.  After numerous renditions, mainly as an ego boost living vicariously through kids, equipid began to take shape.  Ultimately, entrepreneurial curiosity kicked in.  So, what’s next?  Get someone else to buy into “the dream”, crack open the wallets and put a plan in motion.  Welcome Scott Podsednik.  Scott knows a thing or two about sports having played in the Major Leagues since 2001 for the Seattle Mariners, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox, and Colorado Rockies.  Come on, could anyone hope for a better sounding board, endorser (and brother in law, by the way)?  After assessing the “cool factor” and getting caught up in the excitement of starting a business, the question was raised – can we really do something with this?  Heck yeah, let’s give it a go.  And, the rest is history.
